From the Principal On behalf of the staff I’d like to wish everyone a safe and happy
holiday. School resumes on TUESDAY 6th October (Monday 5th is a
Public Holiday) and we are looking forward to another
action-packed term.
Miss Law will resume her role as Deputy Principal following a
period of leave. I would like to take this opportunity to thank Mrs
Jenny Tume for her dedicated work with staff, students and parents
in her role as relieving Deputy Principal this term. Our best wishes are extended to
both Mrs Kristen Nicholson (KN) and Mrs Lauren McIlwhan as they commence
their maternity leave – we look forward to their return next year!
Thank you to all parents and carers who took the time in their busy schedules to
attend our Parent-Teacher interviews last week. These meetings are always of great
benefit to our students. Thank you also of course to the staff members who gave up
their own family time to be available to you.
Kind regards – and happy holidays!!

Kindergarten Ducklings
The past two weeks have been an exciting time in
Kindergarten as we have watched our ducklings
hatch and grow. The children have been very busy
writing all about the ducklings. Here are just a few
examples:
Everybody is sad because the ducklings are
going back to the farm and the ducklings can eat some grass. (Ryan KR)
I am sad because the little ducklings are going back home so they can have new
friends. That’s why I am sad. (Daveleen KR)
The ducks can eat with their beak. I can see the ducklings drinking. Today, the ducks
are leaving. (Darrel KE)
I saw the ducks tongue. I can not believe the beak is so big. (Hayley-Jade KE)
The little duckling pooed on Miss Milan. (Michael KN)
The duckling was swimming in the cold water. (James KN)
The ducklings are going back to the farm. They
are going to feel happy. I am sad because we
are never going to see the ducklings anymore.
( Angelina KL)
The ducklings are going to the farm and they
feel happy. I said goodbye to the ducklings.

Year 3 Excursion On Monday 7th September we went to the city to go to
the Sydney University.
First we went to the Seymour Centre to watch the
‘52 Storey Treehouse’performance. It was very funny
how Andy shot a giant carrot at the time machine. Terry
trained his ninja snails but it was too slow to move for a
ninja. Mr Big Nose got kidnapped by the vegetables.
Mr Big Nose wrote a book, it said “Chop them, boil
them, soil them, smash them, bash them, slice them and
dice them.” Andy and Terry found some clues and they
found a caterpillar who told them how to get there but they couldn’t understand the
caterpillar so they went to Jill’s house. We enjoyed watching a live stage show and
laughing at the play with all the students from other schools.

water safety and survival. The program runs for 10 days during Term 4 from Week
9, Monday 30th November - Week 10, Friday 11th December 2015. Deposits for this

Music Bus
Last Thursday students from Kindergarten to Year 4 took part in a Demonstration
Day for the Music Bus. The Music Bus was full of fun and interesting instruments
for our students to try. Classes were walked through the bus and students were
encouraged to try instruments that they showed an interest in. If parents are
interested in their child participating in lessons, a flyer will be going home today.

Reach Rehearsals
On Monday, 14th September, students performing in
this year’s Learning Neighbourhood REACH concert
participated in a combined schools dress rehearsal.
The dress rehearsal gave students an opportunity to
watch their peers’ performances and appreciate all the
hard-work and creativity that has gone
into preparing for this fantastic event.
We thoroughly enjoyed the day and are
excited to show the result of the
students efforts pay-off at the perfor-
mances on Tuesday and Wednesday
evenings.
