Assessment of SDG 7 Interlinkages with other SDGs and capacity building needs (2017 ): Supported by
UNDESA, TERI University
Has been engaged in the research and formation of two discussion papers dealing with SDG 7
interlinkages in various countries and the capacity building gaps that need to be addressed in countries for
addressing these interlinkages. The discussion paper is being prepared for UNDESA High Level Political
Forum on SDGs.

and medium enterprises in India.
Assessment of import duties on palm oil on sustainability (2016 – 17): Supported by WWF India
Has been engaged in understanding the impact of import duties on palm oil on social, economic and
environmental domains of sustainability in the Indian context by means of a simulation model. Created a
simulation toolbox to understand the impact of import duties on palm oil on different domains of
sustainability.

Assessment of tax, subsidies on petroleum products in India (2014 – 16).Asian Development Bank ‐ Has been engaged in understanding the impact of rationalization of taxes, subsidies on select petroleum products of India through an integrated MARKAL model. Outputs of the model has been integrated with SAM and CGE structures. Rationalization of fossil fuel subsidies in India (2014 – 16).Department for International Development (DFID).Engaged in understanding the impact of rationalization of fossil fuel subsidies on the Indian macroeconomy through a Computable General Equilibrium Model.
A technoeconomic integrated model for understanding green technological interventions. (2012‐15). Global Green Growth Institute. Has been engaged in understanding the impacts of green technological interventions across various sectors of the Indian economy on macro and socio economic indicators at a national and downscaled state specific level. The project entails such an understanding through an integrated MARKAL – CGE – Biophysical Model. Mapping Climate‐Mitigation Technologies/Goods within the Residential and Commercial Buildings Sector. (2008‐09). International Centre for Trade and Sustainable Development.Conceptualized the research, framed the report and wrote the research report, worked with the members of building group within TERI to write the research report on "Mapping Climate Mitigation Technologies and Goods within the Residential and Commercial Buildings Sector" that was presented in Poznon side event. The study focused on two broad categories of goods/technologies – a) a set of technologies/goods relevant to building that are available for commercial purchase and use and b) a range of building technologies that are still subject to R and D but where there is a strong likelihood of commercial deployment in the near to medium‐term future.

Impact of Trade Liberalization on Horticulture Trade. (2006‐07). United Nations Conference on Trade and Development. Worked on a vector error correction modeling of horticulture products to analyse the short term and long term price elasticity of various horticulture products that are exported from India to E.U and U.S.

Study on local manufacturing of Renewable Energy Technology Components in East Africa. (2009‐10). United Nations Industrial Development Organisation.Has worked as an economist in assessing the potential of local manufacturing of equipments for two technology applications viz. biomass gasifier for heating applications and solar photovoltaic technology. Has been involved in socio economic assessment while understanding the potential of local manufacturing of technology components. Also analysed the potential South South Cooperation measures that could be useful for helping in technology transfer and local capacity building in these two technology applications.
