Our programs

1. Small loans – our core program Target clients:

a. Land-less and asset-less women • < Rs. 3000 of monthly income• < 50 decimals of land (1 acre = 100 decimal)

b. Workers in the un-recognized sectors Training:

Initial loan: Rs. 5,000 maximum Subsequent loans: increased by Rs. 1,000 to Rs. 3,000

Interest 12% service charge (flat) + 3% training fee (flat)

Tenure One year -- repayment in 46 equal installmentsfor a Rs. 5,000 loan, the repayment (incl. interest) is Rs. 125 each week for46 weeks (the six weeks grace allows for festivities, illness, etc.)

Collateral free Exclusively for women -- usually for income generation

Conditions Must fulfill criteria for membership in a group Must subscribe to BJS's vision and conditions Regular attendance in weekly meetings Skilled in managing small enterprises Initial loan: 6 weeks to qualify Subsequent: 1-2 weeks, after full repayment of previous loan
