The new HCA Short-Term Disability Plan will replace the current Extended Illness Benefit (EIB) policies.

You will not lose the value of EIB hours you have earned.

Your EIB hours will form a bank of 100% Pay Replacement Hours under the new HCA Short-Term Disability Plan.

You will have access to the bank of 100% Pay Replacement Hours until you use them all or terminate employment.

The bank of 100% Pay Replacement Hours will be subject to the provisions of the HCA Short-Term Disability Plan.
