How to become a part of the Bundaberg Players Incorporated…

❖ Become a subscriber for 2019 For those who come to see most shows, becoming a Subscriber is a great idea. Annual Subscription this year was $80 per person and entitles the subscriber to one ticket for each production on the year's Subscription List, which is a terrific saving. You get the added benefit of being able to book by phone, quote your name and subscription number and your tickets will be held at the Box Office until the day of the performance.

Annual Subscription forms for 2019 will be available from the Box Office or website www.theplayhousetheatre.org.au around October.

❖ Join the mailing list For those who simply wish to be informed about productions and when to make bookings. Forms are available at the Box Office, or call us on 4153 1904 and leave your details on the answering machine.

❖ Become a member Members are asked to participate in the group’s activities as a performer, backstage or behind the scenes. To find out more about becoming a Member please come and see us on Sunday mornings 9am to 12noon when we have our weekly working bees.

With a plot described by the author as a modern adaptation of Romeo and Juliet, Disney High School Musical is a story about 2 high school juniors – Troy Bolton, captain of the basketball team, and Gabriella Montez, a shy transfer student who excels in maths and science. Together, they try out for the lead parts in their high school musical, and this causes division among all the school’s students. This is a lively, energetic musical which will be a great vehicle for our Youth Theatre members……

The CAST

From the Director … The Bundaberg Players Incorporated Youth Theatre started in 1970 and is still going strong. During its 48 years, the Youth Theatre programme has evolved but the essence of “community theatre” is very much evident. Bundaberg Players Incorporated (aka the Playhouse) is a not-for-profit organisation run by volunteers, which owns and operates its own premises, The Playhouse Theatre. To be a member of Youth Theatre, no audition process is needed, the Playhouse merely takes all young people, with a keen interested in the theatre and casting takes place over the workshops. The Disney High School Musical performance is the result of 8 weeks hard work of rehearsal. Congratulations to Grace, Kyle and Sophia, past Youth Theatre members, now giving back to the community for the next generation to enjoy!
