Cloud Computing Architectural Stack

▪ Cloud computing is the classification of those computing which are built on personal devices to handle applications.

▪ The cloud computing architectural stack aims at facilitating communication about different cloud technologies and services.

▪ Types of cloud services: - Software as a Service (SaaS) - Infrastructure as a Service (IaaS) - Platform as a Service (PaaS)

Do you Use the Cloud?

Key Components of Cloud Computing

Pay-as-you-use Access from anywhere, anytime, any device Elasticity

6

Data Processing Issues In Cloud Computing

▪ Improved data redundancy

▪ Increase data dependability incase system crashes

▪ Mobility in data access

7

Major Issues & Working Done in Cloud Computing

▪ Resource sharing

▪ Security isolation , to prevent the potential invalid access.

▪ Reliability ,Security

Virtual Storage in Cloud Computing

• Ubiquitous access to data.

• Any service should be able to read any data independently of where the service is running or where the data is stored (under the scope of the platform).

• Virtualized file system.

• Final users do not care about where to store data.

• Users are provided with a virtual uniform file system, even if files are stored in physically distributed places

• Isolation.

• Users are only able to read and write what they are authorized to.

Cloud Computing Research and Development Trend

▪ Cloud computing present Amazon is using Elastic Compute Cloud( EC2) and Simple Storage Service(S3) to provide computing and storage service for enterprises. The payment of services include storage server, bandwidth, CPU resource and monthly charge.

▪ Monthly charges are like the telephone’s monthly charges. Using storage server and bandwidth are charged by content. Using CPU is charged by time.

The Method and Tool of Cost Analysis for Cloud Computing

▪ Total Cost of Ownership (TCO) is generally used as a means of addressing the real costs attributing to owning and managing an IT infrastructure.

▪ Elastic resource utilization: Cloud provides an on demand resource service that users can apply for resources from Cloud and then return back to cope with their business needs true in a business

▪ Wide adopted virtualization: In the Cloud, multiple applications may be hosted on a common set of servers. This allows for consolidation of application workloads on a smaller number of servers that may be kept better utilized, as different workloads may have different resource utilization footprints and may further differ in their temporal variations.

Conclusion

▪ As cloud is an emerging technology there are some areas where we have to make improvement. Security is most important aspect today, without proper security policies no one can keep their data on the cloud safeguarded. So we have to improve security area of cloud to assure user about his privacy regarding his data on the cloud.
