Axle Counting Mechanism ā Conventional Sensor
An Insight into MSDAC-G39 23
āŖ Digital Axle Counter system works in Phase reversal principle for counting / detecting thewheels through track devices.
āŖ Transmitter voltage is fed to transmitter winding to build magnetic field. This Magnetic field iscoupled to receiver coil through magnetic coupling.
āŖ Whenever Wheel passes over the RX coil, the flange of the Train wheel cuts the magnetic fluxinduced between TX and RX.
āŖ Solid mass of the wheel can block the signals and some flux lines are reflected through flange.
āŖ The flange of the wheel can reflect the magnetic flux in to RX coil for creating phase reversal.
