Who We Are

OnePoint Systems Ltd is ideally suited to developing software for manufacturing companies because we came from a manufacturing background ourselves. Our first product started life as a bespoke solution developed to help a local manufacturing company better understand what was really happening on the factory floor and where best to channel their energies to achieve the most effective results in their program of continuous improvement.

The Factory Floor system, as it became known, was so effective and simple to use that the company for whom we developed it started showing it off to their customers as another advantage to doing business with them, and the Factory Floor kiosks became a stop on visitor tours of the company. It wasn’t long before visitors realised that the principles of the Factory Floor system could easily apply to their own business and asked if the system was for sale.

OnePoint Systems Ltd was founded to take the concepts behind the Factory Floor system and turn them into a commercial software package that could be used by companies to gain the same benefits. We are still based close to our very first manufacturing customer and as such have access to a manufacturing environment to test the real-world application of our software. We try to never lose sight of the fact that everything we do has to work in a real factory and produce real benefits.

Order Processing - This module works in tandem with the OnePoint “Job Grader” (machine capabilities) and the data held within the system. It allows the user to accurately price any specification required by the customer. What makes this powerful is that when you enter the details within the estimates, there is no need to re-enter them again throughout the entire system. You can also manage last minute changes without the need to start again with the process - and it flows through the whole system. Job bags and production tickets are created quickly for the shop floor.

Scheduling - Plan your next manufacturing jobs efficiently with this drag and drop module. Edit, manage and sort the way you want to manufacture your goods.

Raw Materials & Stock - Manage your demand of raw materials for production from allocations through to what was issued and used. Keep up to date with stock levels and be advised when to re-order/replenish.

Factory Floor

Factory Floor is a shop floor data capture and analysis software system that will capture events happening on the shop floor during production. It is an accompanying product of OnePoint Office which allows the capture of actual production performance and downtime. Together with our main Office software, we can analyse and formulate results across both platforms including job, machine, customer, stock code, section, adjuster as well as analysing downtime, waste, setup and profitability.

We take information entered on timesheets during a shift and load them into the Factory Floor software – this forms the basis for our analysis.

The Factory Floor consists of 5 modules:

Counter: This is where a specific job number can be entered tosee and record production against it. Boxes of envelopes thatcome off the end of a machine are scanned by a barcode scannerand the produced amount against the job is automatically updated.

Timesheets: (entered manually or electronically)This screen is the Timesheet Manager screen.It shows a list of machines down the left side with the shifts for eachmachine from left to right. A timesheet can be manually entered byclicking a shift against a machine.

Analysis: The analysis screen is where several charts/graphs canbe viewed that have been compiled with various criteria, such as:production analysis; machine analysis; adjuster analysis;timesheet analysis and machine efficiency analysis.

Reporting: The reports section of Factory Floor is where the user is given free rein to createtheir own reports using whatever criteria are available. These reports can then be saved and recalledat any time.

Admin: This is where downtime codes, employee log in credentials and equipment areconfigured and stored. From this admin screen the information is fed into the rest of theFactory Floor.

Online Ordering System

The OnePoint Office product can be expanded with a web ordering portal to give your customers a great personalised online ordering experience. Each of your customers can be given their own log in credentials and have a customised website with their logo and personalisation.

The web ordering portal allows your customers to log in and place orders with you based on stock items that you have chosen to be available to them on the website. Their stock list, along with associated pricing and quantity breaks, can be managed by you from within the OnePoint Office product.

As many items as required can be added to their ‘shopping basket’, once the customer confirms and places their orders the website links into the Onepoint Office product and automatically creates the orders, instantly informing your entire business that orders have been placed. The customer is automatically emailed an order acknowledgement and an automated email is sent internally notifying staff that the web order has been placed.

General Ledger

Our general ledger is an optional feature in our Office product. We have worked with our existing client base to develop a general ledger which works for you. We have found that many of our customers were using third party software and running various exports and imports as well as duplicating data entry to keep two systems synchronised with one another - there is now no need for this. Our software allows you to have one stable software package which covers everything.

OnePoint’s general ledger module facilitates the management of corporate performance and the monitoring of return on investment by providing complete enterprise-wide financial recording, analysis and reporting from all aspects of the business. The module fully integrates with all other modules, eliminating the need for double data entry.
