Arts and Crafts BuildingDid You Know . . . . . This is the

building where you find entries in art, photography, crafts and ceramics. Do you see anything that reminds you of cows?

Daisy & Dot Facts:• Mama cows are good mothers and have

strong bonds with their “mini-moos” or calves.

• Even cows have mood swings. They are unhappy when the weather is bad and are practically smiling when it’s sunny.

• Cows have great memories and are very good at remembering and recognizing faces even after long periods of time.

• If you spend time around cows, you will find out that they are very curious.

Home Arts BuildingDid You Know . . . . . Many of the

baked goods and other food entries in the Home Arts Building use recipes that include butter and other dairy products that come from cows. Bakers often prefer to use unsalted butter.

Daisy & Dot Facts: • Butter made from raw milk has a stronger

flavor than cultured butter.• Dairy cows produce more than 90% of the

world’s milk supply. (Water buffalo, camels, goats, sheep, horses, and reindeer are also milked!)

• One dairy cow can give over 25 gallons of milk each day and about 200,000 glasses in her lifetime.

• Life is better with COWS around!
