Today, June 5, 2019, designated as World Environment Day (WED) is a sober reminder for cizens of the world that our survival depends on building a healthy and sustainable environment for all. This day, first observed in 1974 was designated by the United Naons as the principal vehicle for encouraging awareness and acon for the protecon of the environment; raising consciousness on current and emerging environmental issues, from land and marine polluon to global warming and human overpopulaon.
This This year’s theme is “Air Polluon”. We can’t stop breathing, but we can do something about the quality of the air we breathe!
