The vessel has been issued with a Categrory 3 ‘small commercial vesselcertificate’ as of 28 February 2013. This certificate currently allows a total of 6 persons to be carried althoughthe vessel has previously been certified for a total of 12 persons plus 2 crew. The vessel is suited to general work boatduties including survey work, constructionsupport, supply vessel, dive support, fuelbunkering, estuary/ inshore waters cargohandling, buoy deployment, crew transfer, fish farm support duties etc.

The extensive refit/ modification has seenthe engines, gearboxes and Hamilton jetdrives replaced or refurbished.

The vessel has twin IvecoN67MNTM28.11 engines (dyno test re-sults are available). Construction is ma-rine grade aluminium with catamaranformation hulls giving excellent stability.

The hulls have been inspected, cleaned, old paintwork stripped as necessary andrepainted, finally new anodes have beenfitted. Details of the out of water surveysare available.

Overall the vessel is approx 14.8m long x5.00m beam with draft less than 0.8m. Thevessel has reinforced keels allowing it tobe grounded at low tide on a suitable seabed. The vessel speed is approx 17 kts(light ship) and it is road transportable.

The vessel has a Palfinger PK8000 knuck-le boom hydraulic crane and the VIKINGhas a 12t deck load capacity. The opendeck length available for cargo is approxi-mately 8m long. Thecabin is also fitted with a mess table andadjacent bench seat.

There is a large access gate at the sternwhich when used in conjunction withramps allows plant and machinery (e.g.quad bikes) to be driven off/on the vesselwhen the vessel is grounded - this is idealfor operations such as survey work.
