We were asked to design, supply,

install and commission a smoke

extract system for some residen-

tial apartments in an exclusive

area of London. The issue that

building control were concerned

with was that a penthouse apart-

ment had been built in the loca-

tion where the AOV was to be

positioned therefore another

solutions was required.

As a global leader in pressure venting we have over 30 years experience in developing pressure venting & associated

products to many different markets globally. Our product line up consists of the following Pressure, Blast & Air Sta-

bilisation Vents, Fire Dampers, Window Actuators, Leak Detection, Facility Monitoring Equipment, Ventilation Prod-

ucts and Smoke Control Systems. If you want a further look at our products please look at our website or please call.

At AP Solutions are able to offer products manufactured by many of the industries key players but are not tied to

these so we are able to offer solutions to suit our clients requirements.

We are also able to offer the required service and maintenance on these types of systems to BS7346 part 8.

Therefore the solution was duty/standby fire

rated fans positioned at the top of the stairs

which extracted through fire rated ductwork to

outside at high level. These fans were initiated

by the fire alarm within the stairwell or manual-

ly operated from a local keyswitch at the en-

trance of the building.

Also as aesthetics were important to our client the

fans & controller were positioned within the ceiling

void and the extract ductwork went through the

ceiling void on the adjacent apartment.
