and recycling program! This program has been designed
to make waste collection and recycling more convenient
and effective.
Program highlights include:
� Trash rates based on current weekly
trash cart sizes of 35-gallon, 64-gallon or
96-gallon, with no additional costs for
recycling;
� 64-gallon recycling cart, collected every other
week;
� Sturdy, easy-to-use wheeled green carts with
attached color coded lids: trash ( black lid
and recycle (blue lid).
� Green waste carts available upon customer
request.
This program is designed to offer superior, dependable
waste services to help keep our homes and community
beautiful. More importantly, recycling is the right thing to
do. It conserves natural resources and energy, and
helps reduce air and water pollution.
This program cannot work without your help. Please
review this information carefully so you can play a key
role in helping us create a cleaner and more sustainable
Grass Valley.

Bear saver carts are designed to discourage bears from
disturbing the content of waste carts. At retail price, Waste
Management can provide a 64-gallon bearsaver cart upon
request.
CNG Fleet
Clean, 100% Green Collection Fleet. Breath clean Grass
Valley! Waste Management is pleased to announce our new
Compressed Natural Gas (CNG ) fleet. Grass Valley ’s
trucks will be the newest addition to Waste Management ’5
CNG fleet, which is the largest in the nation for the waste and
recycling industry.
Waste Management will coordinate and cooperate with coun-
ty sheriff, fire and emergency service teams by training its
collection personnel to observe and report unusual activity
while performing their collection services.
Have a long driveway? We can help. Waste Management offers
customers a solution for this problem. Cansporter Waste Cart
Carrier is a device which can be attached to your car allowing you
to transport up to two carts to the curb. The cart carrier mounts to
a standard hitch tow receiver, which can be attached to a car,
ATV, or golf cart. For more information regarding this product,

During the holiday season, Waste Management will offer
a Christmas tree pick up. Stay tuned for more details.
We need your help! Unfortunately illegal dumping happens
far too often in our community, which in turn affects all of us
both financially and environmentally. It takes all of us to care
about our environment. Please help your community by
eliminating illegal dumping. If you have any information to
report regarding illegal dumping, or if you would like further
information on solutions for combating illegal dumping, please
contact (866 ) 823-6125.
Waste Management will collect used motor oil and household
batteries from single-family residences at no additional cost to
the customer. Please place at the curb on your assigned
recyclable collection day. Batteries must be placed in a
zip-lock bag and placed on top of your recycle cart. Reusable
oil collection containers are available upon request. Please
contact Waste Management at (8 66 ) 823-6125.
Keep your eyes open for our new improvements and
upgrades to the McCourtney Road Transfer Station, More
information on this transformation to come soon!
Remember, when brining a load to the Transfer Station, you
must always cover the load. It s the law and you could be
fined up to $1,000 for an uncovered load.

� Roll your carts within 10 feet of the curb or roadside with
the handles facing away from the Street.
� Place carts three feet away from each other and six feet
from other objects such as cars,
basketball hoops and mailboxes.
