Counseling Experience: Overview
Counseled students in grades 9 through 12, to address relationship challenges, college admissions anxiety, career reediness, self-esteem, poor academic performance, and retention.
Led mixed groups weekly. Topics included grief and loss, academic issues, and new student group.
Worked extensively with testing coordinator. Administrated the ACT, WorkKeys, and HSAP (South Carolina’s high school exit exam). Assisted in preparing testing materials, scheduling tests, labeling and securing testing materials, distributing testing materials, and assuring compliance with established timelines.
Attended meetings with teaching staff to communicate student 504 goals, obtain signoff, and implementation of 504 plans.

School Teams
Developed time management curriculum for all high school students. Taught students on the dangers of procrastinating and the importance of setting and accomplishing goals. Co-taught lesson plans on topics such as ACT, college admissions, SAT, military life, resume building, WorkKeys, and setting goals.
