Advice

Make sure the video is short(2-4 minutes)Prepare something to go along with the

video(vocabulary, exercise, questions, etc.)Repeat the scene 2-3 timesRemember your focus: vocabulary, grammar

*Remember the idea is not to show a movie in class. Your job is to manipulate a piece of film so that your students communicate in English.

Shows the continuous action is “talking on the phone” so that demonstrates the idea of the Past Continuous. The other actions were done at certain points during the conversation – so they use the past tense.
