The Maryland Dance Team is a performance squad established to develop dance skills and technique while entertaining the crowd at University of Maryland events. The team helps young women develop personal and social responsibilities and leadership qualities. The Maryland Dance Team incorporates dance styles of funk, jazz, and poms into a year-long experience. The Dance Team performs at all home football and basketball games with the Mighty Sound of Maryland Marching Band and Pep Band.
