2. Transparent programming environments: “Data Factory” – by default, all data is visible.

3. Transparent image processing: “Pixel Calculator” -- Mathematical representations are not hidden away.

4. Transparent educational assessment:

Computers can help students learn by recognizing their conceptions and misconceptions.

Making assessment transparent to students is a current focus.
