Today’s aims: • Explore Twitter and how it works

• Learn how Twitter can be used in an academic and professional context

• Use the basic Twitter functions and create a profile.

What is Twitter?An online social networking service Users send and read short 140-character messages called "tweets". Registered users can read and post tweets, but those who are unregistered can only read them.
