1. Choose an everyday object, such as a spoon, fork, keys, pair of scissors.
2. On a piece of 12x18 watercolour paper drawing the object 5 to 7 times in different ways. Remember to overlap and even let them run off the page. Use a contour line and a light touch.
3. Draw a 2x2 inch grid over the whole drawing (lightly).4. Paint in (using watercolours) each shape you have created
be aware of colours next to each other and do A LOT of mixing. Pay attention to each SHAPE, not the whole object! You may want to stick with a colour scheme, cool colours, warm colours, and analogous and so on.
5. Fill the page, watch out for dead space.6. Cover the paper with colour, leave no part of the paper
white.
