I hope this edition finds you spending time with some loved ones, elbow deep in chicken wings or 7-layer dip. No matter who you are cheering for … we can all agree that’s it’s probably time for Brady to lose (no hate mail please!). February is off to a great start! Students are now well into their new courses, the highs and lows of a fantastic basketball season are beginning to draw to a close, and there have been numerous field trips taking our students on exciting adventures! Thanks to all of our parent volunteers, coaches, teachers, and support staff for going above and beyond the call of duty to provide opportunities for our kids … I love this place!

What’s happening at LFMSS? Diversity Week:Our Leadership 11 students are running a celebration of Diversity Week from February 26-March 2. On Friday March 2, we will be wrapping the week up with an international food fair where students will have the opportunity to taste foods from all over the world. We will be selling tickets for the lunch with the proceeds going to our global project: Habitat for Humanity – Puerto Rico. We invite all parents who are interested, to make a dish that reflects their cultural background. If you would like to participate, please contact Sandee Volkenant at svolkenant@sd35.bc.ca.
