Use of rainforest

Serve as home for plant and animal

species

Medicines to be derived from tropical

species

Helps in absorption and neutralization of

greenhouse gases

Helps in the improvement of nutrients of

vegetation

With the loss of

rainforests, many will

suffer.

Lives of everyone would

be endangered.

WATER

Facts on water

consumption today

Over 1 billion people lack access to

clean water in developing countries.

Use of unsafe water lead to over 80%

diseases which kills more than 25,000

people everyday ( UN & WHO)

Contamination of water

Industrial pollutants are major factor of

the contamination of world’s water supply

Underground tanks’ leak and seep into

ground water

Pesticides seep into ground, run off with

rain then contaminates groundwater and

nearby streams and rivers

Excess organic matter

Thermal pollution

Infectious organisms

Facts on water pollution:

Oceans provide habitat for aquatic

creatures, food and drinkable water for

humans.

But oceans are not immune from

pollution…..

Facts on water pollution 10% of world’s coral reefs have been

completely destroyed; Philippines has only 5% remaining coral reefs which are in good condition.

Cruise ships generates water pollution for producing a big number of waste

Every summer, nutrient pollution creates a dead zone

Every year, over 300,000 dolphins, porpoises, and whales die because of entanglement in fishing nets

God created the

earth to nurture

not to destroy.
