Andy Budd“Good design is a crucial business strategy” Design is more than just a pretty color. It is about experience, usability and easy use. These are the things that will delight the user and make the difference between a product that is ‘just’ possible from a technical point of view and a desirable product.

Gary Shapiro“Always be a Ninja, think outside the box”Innovation is important and can happen anywhere. We should embrace this change, we are changing the world. If you want to be succesful you should aim for the trend or as icehockey players will say; ‘aim for where the puck is going, not where it is now’

Stephen Wolfram The Wolfram Language is developped to custom compute answers to questions. Apart from Natural Language, Algorithms and Mathematics are part of it too. If we look at programs and systems we can discover new algorithms from within a computational universe we can understand the world. Just as looking at our social universe will help us understand.

Andrew BlumSo where is the Internet, the REAL internet? It is the hubs, the fibre optic cables, the few buildings across the globe that actually physically connect one network to another. The manholes where the cables emerge from under the sea.

Marina GorbisThe way we communicate has changed. We went from centralized to a far more social structured model. We connect through engagement. This transformation effects Education, Governance, Enterprises. We can shape the future

Robert Scoble

With all the data coming from new things like wearable computing, socials, GPS and sensors everywhere, we need a new way to save and search through al this Big Data. Context will play an important role in this. We will need something to filter the noise.

“I just want it to help me have a better time, now, here.”

Leonard BrodyThe way we share and communicate online has changed our behaviour significantly. ‘The great Re;write’ this time entrepreneurs get to build the rules.

Jimmy MaymannHuff Post going global, here is how.

Loic leMeurWe are becoming a sharing economy. Today we have to much stuff. Technology enables us to no longer own stuff but to rent, borrow or subscribe to it. P2P, trust is the new money.

Kenneth Cukier

Big Data. Datafication. From more and more data we can get different new information. With quantity comes new correlations that can be signs for new values and behaviours. Reuse and datafy. There is also a dark side, privacy, ownership, and what if we could be punished for future possible behaviour. We should remember that data is always only a shadow of reality.

Jonathan MacDonaldWith all the social interaction it is no longer possible as a company to say one thing while meaning another. So we’d better say what we mean and care. It will give you both loyal employees and customers

Kei Shimada

For Japan, innovation is a long term vision. It is something that we have build an ecosystem around. There is a lot of things we are already experimenting with. The only thing we really need help with is getting it across our borders!

Kevin Hartz Technology brings people together and enables companies to have succes. Most often it is when a company met with a technological opportunity that succes followed. Startup tip; Investors bring a lot of pressure, hang in there as long as possible, focus on a market fit first.
