If you are a Cer�fied Medical Examiner who conducts physical examina�ons for interstate commercial motor vehicle (CMV) drivers, MedPro’s FMCSA approved e-learning course provides a streamlined, convenient approach to mee�ng the training requirements for FMCSA compliance standards.
The National Registry of Certified Medical Examiners
The course is presented in a streamlined approach:• Convenient on-line Course (no classroom �me or travel).• A user can start and stop training to support their schedule.• A�er each training module, a review module is available to assist the user in preparing for the cer�fica�on exam.• The course has resources to include a printable Study Guide.• A par�cipant will receive their official course cer�ficate immediately upon comple�on of the last training module.
After successful completion of the course:
The Medical Examiner will understand:• Driver/Medical Examiner Rela�onship• How to properly complete the Medical Examina�on Report Form • What informa�on needs to be obtained from the driver• What informa�on in the CMV driver’s Health History needs to be discussed• The physical exam test that must be administered.• When referral test are needed.• Determining Cer�fica�on Status.• Exemp�ons that apply.• Cer�fica�on �mes relevant to condi�ons.• Disqualifying the CMV driver.• Educa�on Counseling be provided to the CMV driver.• Issuing Medical Examiner's Cer�fica�on

The course is presented in 11 Modules, using analogies and a dialog that is easily understood in the medical profession.
The total course time is between 8-10 hours.

A�er each Module, a Review Module provides a reten�on-check covering all the per�nent content presented in the course, as well as, preparing the par�cipant for their medical examiner cer�fica�on test. The review module walks the par�cipant through each ques�on, providing the par�cipant the opportunity to respond prior to he correct answer appearing on the screen. The review ques�ons are presented in the same format that the par�cipant should expect to see during the official exam. Within the course portal, resources are available to further support the par�cipant. These resources include a printable study guide, and a direct link to the Medical Examiner’s Handbook.
