project managers, etc.) Funding agents, such as Development Banks will also benefit enormously

from the workshop.

COURSE OVERVIEW

This Live Stream workshop is based on the FIDIC Approved Module 4 workshop.

The Mul�-Lateral Development Banks, including the World Bank, Islamic Bank for Development

and the Asian Development Bank have adopted the FIDIC Condi�ons of Contract for Construc�on

with modifica�on. The purpose of the course is to ensure that FIDIC contracts are managed and

administered correctly by understanding the full contract cycle from contract award, condi�ons of

contract, start-up, the pre-commencement mee�ngs, performance security, daily diaries, the

programme, financial control, ongoing supervision, taking-over the works, suspension and

termina�on and dispute resolu�on.

This prac�cal training course, explains and illustrates the use of the FIDIC Condi�ons of Contract

for Construc�on and the FIDIC Condi�ons of Contract for Plant and Design-Build. The course is

designed to help par�cipants have confidence in working with the FIDIC Red and Yellow Contract

Kevin is a registered Professional Engineer, Mediator, Adjudicator and Arbitrator with over 40 years'

experience in the Construc�on Industry. His experience spans across Freeway Construc�on, Airport Runway

Rehabilita�on, Dams and Water Retaining Structures, Pipelines, Civil and Building Construc�on, Concrete

Structures, Asphalt and Concrete Road Surfacing and most recently Claims Prepara�on and Defence.

Throughout Kevin's professional career he has managed various business units of one of the largest

construc�on companies in South Africa, owned a Road Surfacing Company which was later sold to a listed

company before moving into dispute resolu�on and claims consul�ng.

Kevin completed the Fellowship of Arbitrators Qualifica�on and currently specialises in large scale

Construc�on Claims and Dispute Resolu�on. Over the last 10 years Kevin has been involved as Mediator,

Adjudicator, Arbitrator and expert witness on numerous ma�ers. He is presently appointed on Dispute

Boards (DB’s) in South, Central and West Africa. Kevin is an admi�ed member of the FIDIC President's List of

Adjudicators.

He is considered an expert on the FIDIC suite of contract documenta�on. He is the only FIDIC Accredited

Trainer in South Africa.
