Inspiring young people to care and do something for others is what we, adults, need to do.The writers of these articles are teenagers who are not afraid to step out of their comfort zones to embrace the flip side of Jakarta’s glitter - poverty that exists right next to where we are but which we often ignore. These teenagers have probably heard what poverty is but to take a journey into the slums to experience poverty in its physical form is a different thing.Imagine... if every teenager takes a stand to help and do something for an underprivileged child, I believe Indonesia will soon prevail against its poverty. Being a young populated nation with nearly half of its population under 35, a true transformation will easily take place.This is the power of youth. This is the power of caring, of love.
