The BallTech® System

Energy saving opportunity for water-cooled chillers

• The efficiency of water cooled condensers deteriorates over time due to tubes fouling.

• Fouling is recognised as an unavoidable performance impediment by chiller manufacturers and is allowed as part of their design spec. described as “fouling factor”.

• This deterioration in condenser efficiency adversely affects the chiller C.O.P. (Co-efficient of performance)

• A deterioration of the chiller C.O.P results in an

unnecessary increase in energy consumption.

• Chemical treatment combined with annual mechanical cleaning can only control the fouling but cannot eliminate it.

• Maintaining the condenser efficiency within “acceptable” limits will always lead to dissipation of energy in excess of 10%.

Online cleaning has the greatest potential advantage for a plant owner

• Reduces energy consumption in excess of 10%

• Fast payback period – less than two years

• Impressive ROI, 800% - 1000% • Reduces maintenance costs• Significant contribution toward

improved building green star rating.
