And the “Art Stars” of the Year are... After reviewing all the projects created by the monthly “Art Stars” and reflecting on
their creativity, artistic growth and independence over the past year (June 2009-May
2010), I chose two of these students to be the “Art Stars of the Year.”
I am proud to announce that the “2010 Art Stars of the Year” are:
North Wing - Jessica C. (Rm. 119)
South Wing – Christopher T. (Rm. 312)
Certificates were given to the winners during last month’s award ceremony (June 17-
18) held in the auditorium. Congratulations!!!
“Spirit Day” Art Show
Once again students in the Anderson Center
Art Program had their artwork on display during
the Staatsburg Spirit Day Art Show (June
12th) and from all reports their artwork looked
great. This year each of the students participating
received “Certificates of Apprecia-
tion” (example to right) from the event’s organ-
izer, Linda Clarke. Great Job!!

National Zoo & Aquarium Month
June was “National Zoo and Aquarium” and in celebration students created a series of

2010 Graduation Art Show
This is the second year that the students of the AEC Art Program have had their artwork
on display during the annual commencement ceremony. This year-end art show is meant to
give students, staff, and parents an opportunity to see an overview of the art projects that
were created from August 2009 to June 2010 (There were over 50 Different art pro-
jects, not including adaptations, created by our students this year!!),
The art show will remain on display from June 24th to July 12th, 2010.
