1. The Eager Beaver• Gets to the interview 30+ minutes early• Has questions pre-typed out• Knows every employee by name already (After studying the website)

2. The Unprofessional

• Shows up to the interview looking disheveled• 3 to 30 minutes late• Doesn’t ask any questions

3. The Referral• Is the best friend/sister/girlfriend of a coworker• Already knows the questions you are going to

ask• Clearly was coached by an internal employee

4. The Stacked Resume“Tell me more about how you started a company

in college, graduated early, and then built a village in Guatemala?”

5. The Loiterer• Asks for another tour of the office “for memory sake”• Talks to an employee about the Hawaiian calendar on

their desk for 30 minutes• Returns an hour after the interview and asks where the

restroom is

6. The Talker• Rambles on about previous jobs until you cut him off• Asks for water due to dry mouth• You start to daydream about what you are going to eat for dinner

while he’s explaining his experience with Microsoft Excel for the 5th time

7. The potential serial killer“I can’t believe she related slaying the

competitors to killing animals when she was little”

8. The apologizer“I’m sorry, I’m really nervous”

“I’m sorry, that answer was horrible”“I’m sorry for taking so long on that question”
