Text Marketing Versus E-mail Marketing Which Works Better

So you see the value in having an email marketing campaign?

Have you ever heard the phrase "the money is in the list"?

Don't worry if you haven't, but I can tell you that it is gospel in the

marketing world.

That's because having peoples contact information allows you to

market to them on an ongoing basis.

Text message marketing is unlike TV and radio ads in the sense that the person doesn't have to be listening or watching to see or hear your ad.

If they aren't "tuning in" to the TV or radio, then you didn't successfully

reach them.

Plus, you have to pay each time you want a commercial or ad to run.

With email and text marketing, once you have that contact you have

them until they "opt-out" of your list.

Now this doesn't mean you can start sending them emails or texts on a

daily basis.

That's considered SPAM and it's illegal. You really want to value that list because marketing it correctly

can lead to lots of money.

So what's the difference between email marketing and text marketing?

Simple put, it is the read rate.

The read rate is the rate at which a message is opened and read. Email

marketing historically has a 30%-40% read rate.

Meaning if you sent out 100 emails about 30 or 40 of them would

actually get opened and hopefully read.

Now, text message marketing on the other hand has a 95% to 97% read

rate.

Why is there such a drastic difference?

That's because people do not leave home without their cell phones,

period.

You can go hours without checking email, but if you get a new message alert on your phone do you wait to

check it?

Also, with the maximum allowed characters in a text being 160, the message will be short and to the

point.

Customers can read the message quickly and go on with their day and

you can be assured that your message is being read.

There is no arguing that there is absolutely a place for both types of

marketing.

They work great together because you can promote your text

marketing keyword through your email marketing list to your

subscribers and get more contacts for your text marketing campaign.

So why not boost customer loyalty and reach 95% to 97% of your list

from now on?

Test message marketing can do just that for you and your business.
