The Heroes

Team Will Heroes are children across the country with cancer.

Our original hero is William Kiefer, who lost his battle in 2004, at just 17 months of age.

We carry some of our heroes with us, and some we meet along the way.

Hero: William Kiefer• On March 7th, 2004, just

two days after his first birthday, William was diagnosed with a Rhabdoid Tumor of the Kidney (RTK), a rare and extremely lethal cancer.

• Within a week, the tumor was removed and William began intensive chemotherapy and radiation treatments.

• Five months later, the cancer reappeared as a brain tumor. William passed away August 1, 2004 at 17 months old.

Hero: Aimee Dickey• Aimee was an active 11-

year old when she was diagnosed with Diffused Intrinsic Pontine Glioma (DIPG), an inoperable brainstem glioma and the rarest and deadliest of all brain tumors in children.

• She passed away on September 27, 2007 at the age of 12.

• It was Aimee's dream to help raise awareness and funding for all childhood cancer.

Hero: Jett Lewis

• Jett is just over a year old, born January 24, 2009.

• On May 16, he was diagnosed with Retinoblastoma, a tumor in his eye. It is rare and spreads rapidly.

• Jett is in the ending of his treatments but will always have to undergo eye exams under anesthesia every six weeks.

Hero: Oliver Keller

• Oliver was diagnosed with medulloblastoma (brain cancer) on January 25, 2007, at the age of four.

• After many rounds of radiation and chemotherapy, he has been cancer free for the last year.

• Oliver has a younger brother, Cole, and a new baby sister, Cassidy. He loves to hold and feed her.
