A day long awareness

campaign was conducted at

ward No. 18 today aiming at

door to door collection and

segregation of waste at

source. The first 18 wards are

already in practice of

segregating the

biodegradable and non-

biodegradable at the

household level itself to

achieve better management

of solid waste in an

environment friendly

manner. Momentum has

been created now to shift

towards this improved

system of solid waste

segregation at source by

creating awareness among

the ward residents, shop

keepers and other

stakeholders at new ward

No. 18.

Mobile App and District

Police Website at a

function held at the Police

Head Quarters at Atlanta

Point here this morning.

The Lt. Governor was

accorded an impressive

Guard of Honour on arrival

at the Police Head

Quarters.

Addressing the gathering

of all ranks of A&N Police

and media persons soon

after the launch, the Lt.

Governor expressed his

happiness over the launch

of Police App & District

Police Website and said it

will increase the

connectivity &

communication between

the public and police

besides bringing

transparency in policing.

The person living in the

remote area gauge the work

of the Administration by

the performance of the

police, said the Lt.

Governor asking the Police

to be people friendly and

perform their duty with

utmost sincerity &

devotion, to match the

expectations of the general

public.

The Lt. Governor

mentioned that the general

public can use the

application launched today

to ingress any of the Police

portal services apart from

District and Police Stations

specific information. The

Lt. Governor said that A &

N Police is an integral part

Public hearing at Raj NiwasPort Blair, Sep 9

Persons desirous to meet the Lt Governor in the Tuesday's public hearing

being held at Raj Niwas on every Tuesday from 11.30 am have been advised to

submit their grievances atleast a day before i.e. Monday, so that details relating

to their grievances can be obtained from the concerned departments. This

will enable the Lt Governor to take prompt decisions on their issues on the

day of public hearing. In this regard, they are requested to submit their grievance

in the office of OIC (PG) on all working day from 9 am to 5 pm. Meanwhile,

people who could not submit their grievances on any other day due to some

reasons, can also submit their grievances on the public hearing day i.e. Tuesday,

from 9 am to 9.30 am. For appearing in the Tuesday's public hearing at Raj
