Casa Grande – After being in the car business more than 15 years, one ambitious car salesman decided there had to be a better way. He had seen people endure high pressure tactics, suffer the indignity of the credit approval process, and the abuse of their trust they had placed with unscrupulous car dealers.
He decided that he could provide people with a more pleasant car buying experience while still giving them the ability to buy a vehicle at competitive prices, choose from great inventory, and give them access to a wide range of credit options. Many said it couldn’t be done.
Car dealers had been operating the same way forever, and he, as a single dealer, just couldn’t
pull it off. Well, he’s proving them wrong, in a big way. And his local competition isn’t too happy about his success.
“We have found new ways to meet the demands of our customers,” according to Scott Lehman, owner of Premier Auto Center in Casa Grande, Arizona. “Car dealers have always had their arsenal of aggressive sales tactics including aggressively trying to sell the consumer something they don’t want or can’t afford,” Lehman said.
He talked about the aversion that many people experience when deciding to buy a car. And for good reason. “Lots of car dealers use manipulative selling techniques to get you to sign on the bottom line,” says Lehman. With
nearly 20 years experience in the car business, Scott understands the car buying process and his experience had taught him what needs to change. “It should be all about the customer, every day,” stated Lehman emphatically.
“Your customer is entitled to the best experience you can give them during and after the sale,” says Lehman. “But, ‘after the sale’ is when most car dealers fall down. They usually blow it,” stated Lehman.

get from you, we have focused on what we can deliver to the customer,” according to Lehman. Posted prominently in their showroom is a “Customers’ Bill of Rights.” Lehman said it is a daily reminder to him and his staff about how to do business differently.
“We want the selling process to be transparent,” said Lehman. “In other words, we believe in full disclosure between both parties.” This new approach is very different from “fast talking” stereotypical sales experience of the past.
Typical car dealers practice age-old “secret” and manipulative tactics from the moment you step on their lot. Surprisingly, many people enjoy the back and forth price negotiation during the car buying process. “Yes, there are people who look forward to this part of the process, so our car buying process may not be for those folks.
“These types of folks most likely won’t appreciate
