What would I contribute to the Starting Bloc
community?

A Freshness of Perspective?
I love solving problems. And I love solving them with a new method, an uncharted path, or with a cool new team. Nontraditional thinking (and metaphors!) are what drive innovation.
“Knowledge is knowing that a tomato is a fruit, but wisdom is knowing it shouldn’t go into a fruit salad.”
A Willingness to Mentor and Be MentoredI’ve learned how to teach from the amazing teachers that I’ve had: I value the incredible guidance they have given me and I aspire to pay that forward.
Drive for Change
I will persevere to reach my goals, and hope to help others reach theirs. I will drive for the common goal of change that we share. I hope to identify the medium for change that best suits me: in this case,
startups, health, and communication.
“You can’t ever give up! You have to keep climbing higher, over the snakes, and even…the falcons that are all around you!” –Founder of Udemy, education startup
Translating BIG Ideas to REAL Language
I love words. I love language. But most importantly, I love the beauty of simple language conveying complex concepts. J.D. Salinger, in his short story “Teddy,” exemplifies that.
I Can “Flex” My Style
Through 12 years of Indian classical dance training, I’ve learned that taking feedback and adapting are two of the most essential skills of all.
An Appreciation of Small Moments
I love crunching numbers and coding as much as the next person, but sometimes it’s the moments you spend braiding hair, in debate club, or dancing that have the most impact.
And lastly? I can rap with the Wu Tang Clan.
