Teacher Assistant Module (TAM) 1.Open an Internet Browser & go to the NC Wise website >> 2.Login to the Teacher Assistant Module (TAM) Enter Username Password Database 3.After login, the user may see the Class Change Notification screen. Read the list then click the Check All button and click OK.

Taking Period Attendance Using The TAM

Teacher Assistant Module (TAM)

Teachers at multiple schools will see a Select Teacher Screen.

They can identify who they are and select what school they are working in.

Using the mouse select the school and click OK button.

1. Open an Internet Browser & go to the NC Wise website >> http://esis.ncwise.org

2. Login to the Teacher Assistant Module (TAM)• Enter Username• Password• Database

3. After login, the user may see the Class Change Notification screen. Read the list then click the Check All button and click OK.

Classes: Classes the logged-in teacher is scheduled to teach.Home Rooms: Homerooms to which the teacher is attached.Teams: Teams with which the teacher is associated.Today’s Classes: Classes being taught in the current semester.Current Students: Students who are enrolled in the class.All Students: Will include any students who have dropped the course being displayed.

At the TAM Start Screen…

Step 1: Click Classes Radiobutton, Select Semester.

Step 2: Click the AC(Attendance Complete) box.

Step 3: Click the Door button

to Exit and Logout of TAM.All Students Present & On Time

At the TAM Start Screen…

Step 1: Click Classes Radiobutton.

Step 2: Select the Classfrom the Class List.

Step 3: Click the Listbutton in the My Classes,Attendance section.

Students Are Absent

Step 4: ThePeriod Att-ClassEntry screen

opens.

Step 5: Place acheck in the A box

inthe same row as

theabsent student.

Step 6: Place acheck in theAttendanceCompleted box.

Step 7: Click the Diskette button to SAVE.Step 8: Click the Door button to EXIT the screen.Step 9: Click the Door button again to EXIT the TAM.

When you are ready to stop working in the TAM and logout…

DO NOT click the red X in the top right of window (PC).

DO NOT click the red X in the top left of window (MAC).

Exiting Teacher Assistant Alert Box. Click OK.

Close the Internet Browser.

Use the DOOR ICON to EXIT.

Step 1: Click the Classesradio button.

Step 2: Select the Class from

the Class List.

Step 3: Click the List buttonIn the My Classes,

Step 4: The Period Att-Class Entry screen opens.

Step 5: Change the date. Click the Date button.

opens. Single click on the Plus

button.

Step 7: The Calendar box will

open to select an Attendance

Date.

Step 8: Use the mouse & select a date.

Step 9: Click the OK button.

Step 10: The calendar box willdisappear and the new date islisted in the Change Date screen.

Step 11: Click the OK button.

Step 12: The Change AttendanceDate screen disappears and youshould be at the Daily Att. –Homeroom Class

Entryscreen.

Step 13: Place acheck mark in

theA (Absent) or L(Late) box.

Step 14: Place a check mark in the Attendance Completed box.Step 15: Click the SAVE button.Step 16: Click the DOOR to EXIT.Step 17: Click the DOOR button again to EXIT the TAM.
