Great American ShakeOut DrillMillions of people worldwide will practice how to Drop, Cover, and Hold On at 10:18 a.m. on October 18* during Great ShakeOut Earthquake Drills!

We all must get better prepared for major earthquakes, and practice how to protect ourselves when they happen. The purpose of the ShakeOut is to help people and organizations do both. You could be anywhere when an earthquake strikes: at home, at work, at school or even on vacation.

What we do now will determine our quality of life after our next big earthquake. Are you prepared to survive and recover quickly?

All students who were absent will have their photo taken. School IDs will be issued with this photo.

If you did not like your photos and want them retaken, please bring your picture packet with you when you come to the Library for retakes.

Another KINDNESS CHALLENGE:

The MacArthur Boulevard Association is hosting a clean-up this Saturday beginning at 8:00 a.m. Beta Club students should sign up with Mrs. Teichman (Room 120) or Mrs. Zinnen (Room 235) on the sheets posted outside their classroom doors. All students are welcome to come help. It is a great community service project that also helps our neighborhood partners! Please see Mr. Davis for more information.

Butler School Fall Festival

Butler School staff and students will be having our annual Fall Festival this Saturday from 12:00 to 3:00, and they are in need of more helpers!

This is a great opportunity for service hours and to help our neighborhood school!

The Lady Falcons played … and the results are - The 7th and 8th Grade girls basketball teams both lost two games this week to Chatham Glenwood and Athens. 7th Grade lost to Chatham Glenwood 31-22 - 7th Grade led by Rayne Tillman with 11 points Zakiyah Lt with 6 points, Jayla D with 4 Points, Layasha W with 1 point, 7th Grade also lost to Athens 37-34, 7th Grade led by Jayla D with 10, Zakiyah L and Samantha T. each with 7, Rayne and Olivia D each with 4, and Emma S with 2.

8th Grade lost to Chatham Glenwood 44-26 - 8th Grade led by TeTee J with 8, Elyse Hoand Vanessa T each with 4 Payton H with 3, Laila S with 2, Sydney D and Elly S each with 1. 8th Grade lost to Athens 41-34 8th Grade led by Elyse H and TeTee each with 9, A’Jah F with 7, Payton H with 4, Laila with 3, Sydney D and Elly S each had 1.
