Anchoring the upper shield plate to the framework at the west end

Installing one of four L-mounting brackets to the side walls at the west end.Brackets support the Virostek plates at each end and provide a continuous flux path into the side walls while accomodating tolerances.

Crossbars react north and south sides against each other to reduce tension loads on floor anchors

Present Status• east and west end walls were installed, then

removed to give access for installation of the spectrometer waveguides as planned

• all crossbars are now installed• yet to be installed are the draw wires for

measuring deflection under magnetic forces

Step V Status

• 12 detail drawings essentially complete, but will need:– positions of crossbars (J. Tarrant input)– access holes fro RF couplers

• 1 detail drawing needs to be completed• 6 assembly drawings need to be completed– assy drawings will not hold up the fabrication

• Steel plates from Japan arrive Phila., PA around 11 July
