The Knights of Columbus
Tootsie Roll Drive—October 8-9
*The Annual Tootsie Roll Drive is Saturday October 8th on the Foxboro Common and in Sharon as well. We will be outside of St. Mary’s and Our Lady of Sorrows in Sharon after all the masses that weekend. The Catholic Daughters of America will be standing outside Stop &
Shop Foxboro, Shaw’s in Sharon and outside the Dunkin Donut in the Shaw’s Plaza of Sharon. All proceeds go
directly to helping Handicapped Children. Your generos-ity is greatly appreciated!
For anyone who purchased a new brick, the bricks will be installed by Saturday, Oct. 9. This is being completed by Chris Sullivan of Alamo Construction who had donated his time to install them. Chris also assisted on the move of the bricks a year ago from the hall to the new location. Thank you Chris!
*If you are a Catholic man 18 yrs of age and are looking to join the Knights of Columbus, please reach out to our membership chairman Frank Nelson @ uscmdy@msn.com or our Grand Knight Todd Phillips @ tphillips13@comcast.net.
Catholic Volunteers and Religious Education Teachers:
Protecting God’s Children
Our upcoming classes are Oct. 9 @2pm and Oct. 20 @10am in the Murphy Room. If you volunteer for the church in any capacity and may come in contact with children, and you have not taken a class in the past, please sign up for one of these sessions. It lasts 1 1/2 hours. It’s for the protection of our children. Please go to www.virtusonline.org and click “First Time Registrant”
Grand Annual Collection THANK YOU to all who were able to give to the second collection last weekend! We are very aware that for some an additional contribution cannot be done at this time. We are extremely grateful for any support, prayers and contributions!
Thank You
Court Queen of Peace would like to extend our sincere thanks for all who participated with donations to our Diaper Drive for the Abundant Hope Pregnancy Center in Attleboro. The diapers and baby wipes were deliv-ered last week and the staff was thrilled and very grate-ful for your generosity! The Court members who deliv-ered the donations were given a tour of the facility and said it was very nice. They also indicated the Center re-lies strictly on donations to run their facility, including their rent, so I'm sure we will be assisting them again in the future. Once again St. Mary's parish community has touched people in need. Thank you again for your never-ending generosity!
