Murat Savaşkan was born in İzmir, September 1958. His first tutor was his father who also was graduated from “Sanayii Nefise“ (Later “Istanbul Fine Arts Academy“ when Murat Savaşkan graduated, now “Mimar Sinan Fine Arts University”) under Çallı İbrahim and Hikmet Onat.As he attended to Fine Arts Academy, thought he was in Graphic Design Branch, Savaşkan luckily became a student of cornerstone artists like Edip Hakkı Köseoğlu, Nurullah Berk, Sabri Berkel as well as World acclaimed graphic artists like Yurdaer Altıntaş, Mesut Manioğlu, Bülent Erkmen.in 1982, Just before he graduated, opened his first solo exhibition at French Cultural Center in Izmir Later a second exhibition in İzmir again at Phoenix Gallery, third in ‘90 Atatürk Library in Taksim Istanbul and last in 2001 in Notre Damme de Sion in Elmadağ Istanbul. He also attended some group exhibitions , the last one was in 2009, the annual graduates exhibition of Mimar Sinan University which travelled several cities after Istanbul.
