ववद्युत शजतत की SI व्युत्पन्न इकाई वॉट (चचह्न: W)। यह ऊिाज के पररवतजन या रूपान्तरण की दर मापती है। एक वॉट - 1 िूल (J) ऊिाज प्रतत सैकण्ड के समकक्ष होती है।

याांत्रत्रक ऊिाज के सांबांध में, एक वॉट उस कायज को करने की दर होती है,िब एक वस्तु को 1 मीटर प्रतत सैकण्ड की गतत से 1 न्यूटन के बल के ववरुद्ध ले

ववद्युत शजतत

ककसी प्रततरोधक के भसरों के बीच ववभवान्तर तथा उससे प्रवाहहत ववद्यतु धारा के अनपुात कोउसका ववद्यतु प्रततरोध (electrical resistannce)

कहते हैं।इसे ओह्म में मापा िाता है। इसकी प्रततलोमीय मात्रा है ववद्यतु चालकता, जिसकी इकाई है साइमन्स।

प्रततरोधक

ककसी पदाथज की वदै्यतु प्रततरोधकता (Electrical resistivity; या resistivity, specific electrical resistance, or volume resistivity) से उस पदाथज द्वारा ववद्यतु धारा के प्रवाह का ववरोध करने की क्षमता का पता चलता है। कम प्रततरोधकता वाले पदाथज आसानी से ववद्यतु आवेश को चलने देते हैं। इसकी SI ईकाई ओम मीटर [Ω m] है
