How is a Mammogram done?

PAP TEST FOR

CERVICAL SCREENIN

GWomen 30 to 70 can visit the coach for a Pap Test

What is a Pap Test?

A Pap test is a simple screening test that can help prevent cervical cancer

A Pap test looks for abnormal cell changes on the cervix, which is part of the female reproductive system

Cells are taken from the cervix and are sent to a lab to be looked at under a microscope.

FOBT for Colorectal Screening

Women and men 50 to 74 can visit the coach for an

FOBT kit

How is the FOBT Test done?1. Get a kit from the Coach or from your

doctor2. Plan 3 days before you start as you cant

eat any citrus fruits3. Take two samples from 3 different

poops – within 10 days4. Label the kit with the dates and time

each sample was taken5. Mail it in

Other tests for Colon Cancer

If you have a family history of Colon Cancer we can start the process of referring you for a colonoscopy

A referral form will be filled out and your family doctor will sign off on it

You will receive a phone call from the clinic about when your appointment is

Results You will receive your results

in the mail 4-6 weeks after screening

You may receive a phone call in regards to breast screening if more images are needed

Your family doctors will also receive a copy of the results

Why get screening? Find it early! Colon cancer is

90% curable when found early

Cervical cancer is slow growing and cells can be found before cancer develops
