In their industrial facilities, however, hydraulic fluid, oil and detergents from commercial-grade equipment often damage and stain floors. ALSCO needed a solution to protect and make floors easier to maintain.

BPCI Construction chose SCP Treatments for the exposed concrete floors when building ALSCO’s 70,000 ft2 facility in Kent, WA, USA. As soon as power trowels finished surface prep, SCP was spray-applied. The floors were then polished to a medium gloss finish with an 800 grit diamond resin pad. The placement, waterproofing, sealing and finishing were completed in just one day with SCP, and walls went up just two days later. SCP sealed the floors and protected them from moisture, concrete dusting and chemical attack. The facility’s maintenance team still praises the benefits of SCP years later. Oil and chemical spills wipe up easily without staining, making the entire structure more sustainable and durable.
