DIfferent mouthpieces different tone qualities available-3C(General overall), Shilke 14A4A(Lead) Long Tones-Tone quality, warm air- Have them play along-Chromatic from G down and up. Lip Slurs-Pushups for lips- Share Lip slurs exercises Scales and arpeggios-Major, Minor, Mixolydian, Dorian-Have them play along

Mixolydian-Lower 7th ½ step Dorian-Lower 3 and 7 ½ step Minor-Lower 3,6,and 7 ½ step OR Relative minor

Clark Studies 2 and 3- Works fingers and lips-Share with them Double Tonguing ideas-Have them try

Playing in tune- Use tuner, but use ear. Ensemble might not be at A=440 Balance and blend-different bands = different balance(classical vs orchestra vs jazz)
