About UsSavills National Investment team have had a record year overall exceeding all expectations. In total the team were involved in transactions totalling circa £14bn, a 85% increase on last year and a circa 250% increase over three years.

Other notable UK deals include:• The Diamond Portfolio sale on behalf

of Aviva Investors, consisting of 7 retail parks totaling 500,000 sq ft.

• The purchase of 27 UK-wide DFS stores on behalf of London Metric for £173m.

• The sale of the 670,000 sq ft John Lewis E-Commerce Distribution Centre, at Magna Park, Leicestershire on behalf of Gazeley to Aviva Investors Global Services for circa £74m.

• The sale of Exchange Quay, Salford Greater Manchester for £32.5m to Hunter Property Fund Management Limited.

• The acquisition of a portfolio of shopping centres for £250m on behalf of Kennedy Wilson.

Savills National Investment team has also focused on increasing its collaboration with the company’s global office network in order to provide a more comprehensive service for clients. This was particularly evident during the acquisition of Unilever House in Leatherhead, Surrey where the team advised Lembaga Tabung Haji, a Malaysian Islamic institution, on the £75.8m purchase.

The global linkage was most prominent in Central London where Savills produced a truly exceptional performance and was involved in 34% of Central London transactions by volume in 2013 and advised on £6.8bn of commercial transactions. The team represented 18 different nationalities and in particular were involved in 43% of all transactions by Asian & Middle Eastern Investors in Central London. We were involved in three of the five largest deals in the City of London and West End markets. We advised on transactions ranging from £1.7m to £1.7bn with 50% of them being over £50m. On Bond Street we advised on 57% of retail investment transaction by volume throughout the course of 2013.
