SUMMARY:

Lance Olsen is the managing partner of the law firm Routh Crabtree Olsen (RCO). His firm

represents both the trustees and beneficiaries in foreclosures. This conflict of interest came to

my attention in a case where I petitioned the State Department of Commerce for mediation under

the Foreclosure Fairness Act1 and in my efforts to stop the purported beneficiary from contacting

my clients in violation of the Fair Debt Collection Practices Act (FDCPA) [15 USC sec.

1692c(a)(2)]

I raised questions regarding the true identity of the Note Holder (beneficiary) with the trustee

[Northwest Trustee Services (NWTS)] and the servicer [Bank of America (BOA)].2 This is an

issue because Freddie Mac claims to have acquired the Note before BOA purchased

Countrywide. Yet, both MERS and BOA claim to be the beneficiaries.
