Report about National Stage Contest YPEF in Latvia

Participants – Mammadaba embassy schools in all Latvia

Final of the National stage in Latvia was held in May, 2012.

The National  competition was held in two stages – first one

was opened for all shools and during this stage the

participants were collecting points for certain activities.:

1) planted the forest;

2) made the bird-house;

3) picked- up the litter in the forest;

4) did the forest lesson outside the school integrating the

school curriculum;

5) went to guided forest excursion with forest professional

Participants - 116 schools, 6800 pupils

9 schools from Latvia who collected the biggest number of points

in first stage were chosen to participate in second stage/final –

to complete the knowledge test about Europe’s Forests. 

Collecting all results were found three knowledgeable young people

who `ll go to Estonia in Autumn time.

In selection could participate every pupil age from 13 until 19
