Analog Vs. Digital What is Sound?Sound itself is just vibrating changes in air

pressure, which travel in continuous waves and cause similar vibrations in our eardrums.

Analog Vs. DigitalAnalog recording mechanically duplicates those

continuous vibrations, using the grooves of a record, or the flux of a magnetic tape passing through a tape recorder.

With digital recording, computers slice up those continuous sound waves into separate bits of information called samples. The faster the sampling, the more the recorded sound resembles the original.

Open Reason 3.0Open the Reason Alias located on your

desktop

Create Template – Redrum and Mixer

Choose file New (Make sure in Preferences “Emtpy Rack” is chosen.)

Choose Create Mixer Choose Create Redrum Toggle to rear

connections (using tab keys) and connect each redrum channel to the corresponding mixing channel by dragging the chords.

Create Template – NN-XT sampler

Choose Create NN-XT advanced sampler and toggle to back. Notice how Reason automatically connects the advanced sampler to channel 11.

Save WorkSave Reason project as Student

Name_Resaon1 and save it in your network folder.
