 The international Grundtvig Group together with Polish learners participates in the celebration of Harvest

Festival to know old Polish tradition, to teach openness, appreciate each other’s view and to create positive attitude to different religious and culture

Dozynki: harvest festival celebrations take place all over Poland from mid August to early September every year. These photographs were taken at a harvest festival in Boguchwała/ Rzeszow, Podkarpackie Province and show

HARVEST WREATHS made from a mixture of corn, wheat, rye, fruit and flowers. In this part of Poland local villages compete against each other in making the best harvest wreaths. The beginning of this tradition comes from XVI century and it has been always related to the religious celebration : Virgin Mary Assumption.
