1. Introduction
The Overview page of Oracle Fusion Purchasing allows the administrator to customize different
components through a customizing layer to meet the business needs of a company.
This document details how the administrator can use a customizing layer to modify:
The layout of the Overview page
The display of the graphs
The display of different regions
The content within a region, like hiding or showing a tab or table columns

2. How to start customizing the Overview page?
1. Navigate to the Overview page, select the “Administration” tab, and then select the
“Customize Purchasing Pages…” action.

2. This will bring you to the Edit Layer where you will see the code view in the upper panel and the design view in the lower.
3. To start editing, select any desired area on the design panel to display the popup “Confirm Task Flow Edit”. Click the Edit button to start customizing the Overview page.

3. How to change the layout?
This section is about modifying the Purchasing Overview page layout.
1. Please see “How to start customizing the Overview page?” to learn to start the process.
2. After accessing the Edit Layer, select the local region or click the Change Layout button
on the design view. When the selected region is highlighted in blue by the application,
the upper Edit Layer will show LayoutCustomizable.
3. Click the Edit Icon on the menu bar of Edit Layer to start the editing.

4. Select your desired layout from the “Component Properties: layoutCustomizable” popup window.
If a layout with no graph is preferred, select the one highlighted in red in the example below.
If a layout with graphs is preferred, select the one with at least 2 panels. By design, the layout with graphs works best with the icon that is highlighted with the dotted line in the example.
Select your desired layout and click the Apply button to apply the change. When done, click OK button to apply the change and close the popup.

5. Your changes are reflected on the design view. When the desired changes are complete, click the Close icon on the right corner of the menu bar to go back to the Overview page.

4. How to add graphs from the Catalog?
There are some seeded graphs available in the Catalog that can be easily added to the Overview page. In order to display graphs properly the layout has to be suitable for graph display.

2. Make sure that the Box which shows content for the right panel is enabled. If not, select the Box on the Edit Layer, right click the mouse to open the dropdown, and select Show Component to enable it.
3. To add graphs first select the region on the design panel. Once the code view shows the right Box, click the Add Content icon on the menu bar to open the Add Content dialog.

4. Select the desired graph and click the Add icon to add the graph. Click the Close button to close the popup when done.
5. The newly added graph will be shown on both the code view and the design view.

6. Click Close on the top right menu bar to close the Edit Layer when you are done with the customization.
Note that once a graph has been added to the Overview page, it cannot be deleted. Instead, you can only hide or show the graphs.

5. How to hide or show graphs?
When a graph is available in the code view, the administrator can select to hide or show it.
1. Please see the previous topics to learn how to access the Edit Layer or add graphs to a
region.
2. Select the region on the design view to locate the right Box on the code view. Once the right Box is located, you can select to hide or show a graph.
2. To hide a graph: Select the name of the graph on the Edit Layer, right click the mouse to open the dropdown, and select Hide Component to hide the graph.

3. To show a graph: Select the name of the graph on the Edit Layer, right click the mouse to open the dropdown, and select Show Component to show the graph.
4. Click the Close icon on the menu bar when you are done with customization.

6. How to hide or show a region?
The Overview page has the following seeded regions: Requisitions, Orders, and Agreements. You can decide to hide or show any of these regions.
1. Please see “How to start customizing the Overview page?” to learn how to access the Edit Layer.
2. Select the area under Overview on the design view so that the code view will locate all the related Boxes and regions. There are three regions under panelGroupLayout: default. The first region is for Requisitions, second is for Orders, and third is for Agreements.

3. To hide a region: Select the region on the Edit Layer, right click the mouse to open the dropdown, and select Hide Component to hide the region.
4. To show a region: Select the region on the Edit Layer, right click the mouse to open the dropdown, and select Show Component to show the region.
5. Click the Close icon on the menu bar when you are done with customization.

7. How to hide or show a tab within a region?
Requisitions, Orders, and Agreements regions have seeded tabs to allow quick access to the related information. You can hide or show any of these seeded tabs.

2. Select local region on the design view so that the code view will show the content for the corresponding region.

3. To hide a tab, select the name of the corresponding tab, right click the mouse to open the dropdown, and select Hide Component to hide the tab.
4. To show a tab, select the name of the corresponding tab, right click the mouse to open the dropdown, and select Show Component to show the tab.
5. Click the Close icon on the menu bar when you are done with customization.

8. How to hide or show a column or other element within a table?
An administrator can modify the columns or other elements within a table which is displayed in a seeded tab.
1. Please see “How to start customizing the Overview page?” to learn how to access the Edit Layer
2. Select a local element, like column, on the design view so that the code view will show the content for the corresponding element.
3. When the popup “Confirm Task Flow Edit” is displayed, click the Edit button to
modifying the column.

4. To hide an element, select the name of the corresponding element, right click the mouse to open the dropdown, and select Hide Component to hide it.
