• New structure has Ontario Hydro broken into 7 companies:

– Generation, Transmission, Distribution, IMO, Energy Services, Fibre Optics, Standard Supplier

– Local utilities continue to provide energy through wires

– Some Local utilities also will compete in energy supply market
