Absorption Scheme:

Eligibility Criteria

Paper Pattern Theory paper will be comprised of total 5 questions with one option, i. e. there will be 10 questions

with equal marks. In case of short notes, there will be equal distribution of marks. Question paper will

essentially contain questions from each unit.

(One practical period of 60 minutes in Music shall be counted

equivalent to one lecture period.)

Candidates offering instrumental music shall choose any one of the following

instruments:

a) Sitar b) Sarod c) Violin d) Flute e) Dilruba f) Harmonium

There shall be two papers of theory, Practical Test (Viva) and Mazlis

performance of one hour for each Semester examination.

Marking Pattern for all Semesters:

Practical Test (Viva) - 100 marks

Mazlis Performance - 100 marks

Theory Paper I - 100 marks

Theory Paper II - 100 marks

Total - 400 marks

M. A. Indian Music will be comprised of 4 Semesters, and maximum marks for each

Semester will be 400, hence total marks for the entire course will be 1600.
